"Temporary. I'm not surprised." He rolled his eyes and sat in the chair opposite of Alec's. "The Lightwood children have always had difficult power hungry parents according to my father."
Jace didn't comment on Raphael's whereabouts. Or his approval of Alec's hygiene. He thought Alec was....something. He wasn't sure. Sarcastic. Intelligent. A Lightwood. But also something else. He put his feet on the desk and relaxed into the chair, smiling and then laughing. "Relax. I'm not really an old cryptic vampire or anything. I'm just having a bit of fun."
