Wolves didn't howl at the moon. They howled to locate other wolves and to communicate their own location. It was a call to the pack. But that didn't stop Jace from howling at the bright moon, breath thick on the frigid air, floating away like a cloud. Just to freak out the neighbors. It was Halloween! He couldn't pass up a chance to add to the atmosphere for the kids out trick-or-treating. And maybe freak out a few bullies stealing candy from them.

Nothing like a huge wolf running away with your stolen bag of candy to make you pee your pants.
